Eula Awbrey Sforsa, President of the National Association of Catholic Nurses, USA (NACN-USA) from 1993 to 1996, served as a registered nurse during World War II in the USA, England, and France. Eula was born on February 21, 1920, in Fordsville, Kentucky on a snowy morning. She grew up in Owensboro, Kentucky, in poverty. Her father made an attempt at farming.
