Topics
Specific topics may include but are not limited to: Holistic nursing care, healing touch, dignity and inherent worth of every person, ethical discernment, compassion, right to life, praying with patients, staffing crisis, and suffering.
Objectives
Attendees will be able to:
- Recognize the dignity and inherent worth of every person throughout the continuum of care.
- Apply principles of ethical decision-making to complex clinical situations, including issues involving human dignity, beginning and end-of-life care, healthcare technology, and evolving healthcare practices.
- Identify strategies for providing compassionate, holistic care that addresses the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of patients, families, and communities.
- Develop a renewed sense of vocation and leadership as Catholic nurses, identifying ways to serve as witnesses to faith, advocates for patients, and agents of healing and positive change within healthcare and society.

Headshot Guidelines
- Please send the largest/highest-quality image you have, preferably 1200 pixels wide or larger.
- Please do not crop your photo yourself. Even if there are other people in the picture, send us the original and we will crop it appropriately. This allows us to make sure everyone’s headshot has a consistent composition and size.
- A professional headshot is wonderful, but a good-quality photo taken with your cell phone is absolutely fine.
- If you have a photo you like on your phone, you may simply text it to us. Please send the original/full-resolution photo rather than a screenshot.
- Please don’t take a screenshot or a cell picture of a picture.
Poster Specifications
- Poster size: [48” x 36”] for easel display.
- Easel stands will be provided by the conference.
- Colored preferred.
Poster Content Guidelines
Clearly present your work. Ensure the poster is self-explanatory without a verbal presentation.
- If your poster is for research study, please include the research question, methodology, key findings, conclusions, and implications in a concise and visually appealing manner.
- Readability – Use large, legible font sizes (minimum 18pt for titles, 12 pts for body text, and a clear, and easy-to-read font style.
- Visual Appeal – Incorporate relevant graphics, images, charts, and diagrams to enhance understanding and engagement.
- Layout – Organize information logically with clear section hearings, using white space to guide the viewer’s eyes.
- Design Considerations/Font Hierarchy – Utilize different font sizes to emphasize key points like title, headings, and subheadings.
- Visual Hierarchy – Arrange information in a logical flow, guiding the viewer through the Poster with visual cues.
- Image Quality – Ensure images are high resolution and relevant to the content.
