Pamela Acker is a devout Catholic with a master’s degree in Biology from the Catholic University of America. Pamela worked in the field of vaccine development, specifically with viral vector vaccines, and is very familiar with the controversy regarding the use of the HEK-293 cell line in the development of vaccines. Ms. Acker proposes that the ongoing justification of fetal cell line research leads inevitably to a demand for a constant supply of fresh tissue for biomedical applications.
