Eula Sforza, RN was know to many as a remarkable and inspirational Catholic Nurse. Having served as a nurse in World War II, she knew first hand the battle in this world between good and evil. Eula was strong in her Catholic faith and brought joy to those she encountered professionally and personally.

Clare Donnett is an undergraduate nursing student at Ave Maria University in Ave Maria, Florida. She is interested in palliative care nursing and having an active role in end-of-life care that upholds Catholic moral teachings. Clare shares that she is “highly involved in the Mother Teresa Scholar Program at Ave Maria, a voluntary service and theology-based formation track that supports students who wish to integrate academic learning with faith in action…, and regular rhythm of prayer and accountability strengthens my ability to be a calm, faith-filled presence in the lives of patients, especially those nearing the end of life.” Nursing Department Chair at Ave Maria, DiAnn Ecret, PhD, MSN, RN, said that she highly recommended Clare because she “has a strong work ethic and continuously strives to adhere to high standards. She attends mission trips and seeks to become a nurse to work in service of the poor and vulnerable.”
