Nurse Appointed to Vatican Council

Marylee Meehan, RN, MA Marylee Meehan, RN, MA, member of NACN-USA and affiliated Falls River Council in Massachusetts, was appointed by Pope Benedict IV to the Pontifical Council of Health Pastoral Care Workers in February 2011. She is the first lay woman ever to be appointed to this Pontifical Council, and also one of only three women members on the Council. Marylee is also a past President of CICIAMS.
