Region 9 is delighted to invite all NACN members and friends to our online Fall 2025 Book Club, which focuses on the life of the soul of dying persons.  We will read and discuss an influential fifteenth-century text, The Art of Dying: A New Annotated Translation by Father Columba Thomas, OP, MD, a physician who specializes in internal medicine and is a Dominican friar in the Eastern Province.

This book is a resource for dying Catholics and their loved ones, addressing the temptations and inspirations associated with faith, despair, impatience, vainglory, and avarice and encouraging participation in the Church's sacraments and liturgy and helping them stay focused on Christ and eternal life with Him.

We are exceptionally honored that Father Thomas and other Dominican priests will participate in our book club meetings, which have been scheduled on

Tuesdays,  October 21, and November 18

4-5:30 pm PT (7-8:30 pm ET).

To register, please send a request to NACNbookclub@gmail.com.

A Zoom link will be emailed to participants before meetings. The book can be purchased at the National Catholic Bioethics Center.
