Candidate: Barbara Wilson, MSN, RN- Tucson, Arizona
Hello, I’m Barbara Wilson. I was born and raised in Southern California. In 2000, my husband and I moved to Arizona to start a family. We have two beautiful children, a daughter and a son in that order. They are now young adults starting their own careers and moving into their next chapters of life. I became a nurse in 2013 after graduating from Scottsdale Community College with an associate degree ion nursing (ADN). I started my career as a Pediatric Home Health nurse. During that time, I completed my bachelor’s degree in nursing in 2014. Shortly after, I transitioned to the in-patient acute care setting on a Progressive Care Unit as a bedside nurse and eventually became a nurse manager. I have since completed my master’s degree with emphasis in nursing leadership and transitioned to a nurse case manager position. My journey has allowed me to see many sides of nursing, all of which I am thankful for.
