Individuals may join as General, Constituent, Associate, Student, or Honorary members in the Association. All memberships are made through the NACN-USA, and annual dues are set by the Board of Directors. Please click on the links below for descriptions for each membership category and a membership application for new members.

Online registration payments (for General, Constituent or Associate membership) can only be made with Visa or Mastercard credit cards. If you cannot pay with a credit card please email billing@nacn-usa.org for information on paying with a check.

Disclosure: By providing my contact information I understand that this information may be shared internally with the NACN-USA Board of Directors, Committee Chairs/members and with other NACN-USA member leaders who represent NACN-USA to organizations (e.g. The Vatican Dicastery, CICIAMS Board & Committees etc.), for the purpose of networking and collaborating within and growing our organization.

General Member

—   General membership in the Association is open to Catholic nurses residing in the United States or its territories, in areas WITHOUT an independent local or regional Council affiliated with the NACN-USA.
—   General Members have a vote and are eligible to serve as an officer, Regional Representative, or committee member.
—  Annual dues for General Membership is $50 (Retired Members Dues $40 with Proof of being 62 years of age or older).

Constituent Member

—  Constituent membership is open to Catholic nurses residing in the United States or its territories, in areas WITH an independent local or regional Council affiliated with the NACN-USA.
—  Application for Constituent membership is automatic when making application for membership to an affiliated Council, and is made directly to the NACN-USA together with application being made to an affiliated Council (*Click on Local Councils tab for more information about current Councils).
—  Constituent Members have a vote and are eligible to serve as an officer, Regional Representative, or committee member. Exceptions are: a) one may not hold an officer position in NACN-USA while holding an officer position in an affiliated Council, and b) one may not be a Regional Representative in NACN-USA while holding an officer position in an affiliated Council unless the Council is still in formation when elected to the position).
—  Annual dues for Constituent Membership is $50. (Retired Members Dues $40 with Proof of being 62 years of age or older).

Associate Member

—   Associate membership is open to non-Catholic nurses and other non-nursing healthcare professionals who accept Roman Catholic values and moral principles within the context of nursing.
—   Application for Associate membership is made directly to the NACN-USA (at the same time as membership is made to an affiliated Council that permits Associate Members, as available), and must be accompanied by a letter of support from a General or Constituent Member of NACN-USA, which identifies the applicant’s work in, or support of, nursing/healthcare for at least one year, and how the applicant would support or promote the mission and objectives of the NACN-USA.
—   Associate Members have a voice, but are non-voting members, and may not serve as an officer, Regional Representative, or on a committee.
—  Annual dues for Associate Membership is $50. (Retired Members Dues $40 with Proof of being 62 years of age or older ).

Student Member

—   Student membership is open to any Catholic “pre-licensure”nursing students attending an accredited nursing program in the United States or its territories.
—   Application for Student membership is made directly to NACN-USA (at the same time as membership is made to an affiliated Council that permits Student Members, as available).
—   Student Members have a voice, but are non-voting members, and may not serve as an officer or a Regional Representative, but may serve as a member of the Education, Practice, & Research Committee or the Membership Committee.
—  Annual Dues are waived for Student membership, but proof of student’s “pre-licensure” status must be provided with the application (i.e. copy of valid Student ID and academic documentation / transcript sent via email to: billing@nacn-usa.org).

Honorary Member

—  Honorary membership is open to any person who has aided in the foundation, development, or activities of the NACN-USA, or an affiliated Council, in any outstanding manner.
—  An individual may be recommended for Honorary membership by a General or Constituent Member, by providing a letter of support for the candidate to the Board of Directors of the NACN-USA, which identifies the applicant’s contribution and support to the Association or the affiliated Council, and how such reflects the mission and objectives of NACN-USA.
—  The NACN-USA Board of Directors will review and vote on the recommendation for Honorary membership.
—  Annual Dues are waived for Honorary Members.
—  Honorary Members have a voice, but are non-voting members, and may not serve as an officer, Regional Representative, or on a committee.
